Natural disasters and human migration resulting from political conict, economic and/or cultural crises play a signicant role in the social structure of the countries that experience these disasters. The challenge of providing people the basic necessities for a living during these emergency situations present an opportunity to propose new concepts for the design and development of products, services, and environments that meet these unique set of needs. This challenge seeks proposals that introduce innovative solutions to help solve the complex problems associated with rebuilding a community in crisis. The mission of this design competition is to re-imagine a potential option for a more sustainable future for those aected by man-made and natural disasters and the ensuing social migrations. Proposed solutions can focus on a range of topics, including but not limited to materials, construction/fabrication, transport, etc.
